Following a lobbying campaign by Gordon and local residents Wyre Forest District Council has agreed to purchase surveillance equipment to deter fly tipping in the lanes and lay-bys around Trimpley.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, Gordon found that fly tipping costs Wyre Forest District Council tax payers over £30,000 a year.

“This is a sum equivalent to the cost of two carers in the community and thus could be money better spent”, says Gordon.

Gordon asks residents to be vigilant and to report any incidents of fly tipping to him in a campaign to rid Trimpley of this costly and anti-social scourge.

Keeping up Appearances in Trimpley

Once again Gordon has match-funded Worcester County Council £1,300 for the cost of a lengthsman to enhance the appearance of the village.
